Tai Lucero wins the A Flight Singles Title; her 2nd in 3 years. Michelle Schupbach took 2nd place. The match was closer than the score dictates.....I have video footage of 3 consecutive points as evidence and will try to get that uploaded in the near future.
As a pair, the Schupbach/Lucero team won their 3rd consecutive Flight A Doubles Title; just edging fellow Coe duo Jordan Ferree and Laura Birky in the final. Schupbach paired with sister, Andrea, in her first year of competition to win the Title as well. Thus, Michelle becomes the first player in IIAC history to win four consecutive A Flight Doubles Titles.
Michelle and Tai now have 5 Titles each. Tai, 2 Singles and 3 Doubles. Michelle, 1 Singles and 4 Doubles.
Elizabeth Hoffmann won the B Flight Singles Title; she was clutch in a number of those matches en route to the final, and in the final itself!
Diannah Watson and Amy Sebastian took 2nd place in B Flight Doubles.
