Shortened ITA Roundup

This is going to be a pretty short post for me. My writing has been on the fritz lately due to a lack of internet which has also been on the fritz. For the past few days our connection here at Coe has been non-existant which can have quite a negative effect when you're trying to write an internet blog.

A recap of the men's ITA has already been posted on the blog and I'll just reiterate a few points. Overall the team did very good and was well represented on each day of the tournament. And make no mistake each of those well represented days was very very long. On Friday we got to the courts at 8am and left that night sometime around 11pm. I don't know the exact time because I was bleeding from the eyes and hearing voices in my head. Being at a tournament for that many hours in one day will do that to you. The following day was much better but still a long one. We put in a good 12 hours at the tennis center with Noah being on court for over 8 of them. That is the definition of a long day.

After such a long day Noah got to experience his first ice bath! Judging by the look of pure... whatever the opposite of joy is, on Noah's face I assume it was not an experience he wishes to repeat. Noah was in great shape coming into the tournament and it helped him get to the semifinals in both singles and doubles where he partnered with Riley. All that time on court had to eventually take its toll. Even though he was dead tired in his Sunday singles semifinal Noah was able to mount a second set comeback and force yet another 3rd set. He eventually succumbed 6-3 in the final set to a very tough Whitewater opponent, but Noah fought the whole way through. As a consolation prize we went to Culver's, but in the name of healthiness we didn't order anything of poor nutritional value.

That's obviously a lie. We got ice cream of course.

As a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialists I highly recommend the Mint Oreo Mixer

Now it's on to off-season. It will be quite a few months before we hit the courts again which should be just enough time for all of us to recover from the weekend.
