Brad: Keep going after that serve. Don't slow your racket down.
Daken: Am I slowing it down?
Brad: Yeah. You know what the Magnus Effect is?
Daken: It describes how a ball moves through a liquid.
Brad: That's right. So you know that if you slow your racket down you won't impart as much spin on the ball. And if you don't have that spin, the ball won't drag the air around it to create that area of high pressure above and low pressure below it.
Daken: Okay, I like it. Magnus Effect.
Brad: You're a physics guy so I figured you would appreciate that.
