Beach Day Friday

Coach and I again sit in the breakfast area working, awaiting the presence of our first player.  My guess would be Curtis.....although Scott and Woolf have been consistent early risers as well.
(Update:  Woolf showed first just after 8 AM; Scott second at 8:55, Daken at 9:11, Michelle texted at 9:12 for 4th and CN, NS, YI and GB showed as a group to take 5th collectively, Diannah 6th)

Friday has historically always been a beach day for the kids.  Weather appears to be appropriate enough.  I'm guessing a mid-day departure with 20+ players (a few may stay behind with parents), myself and Brad.  Coach, on the other hand, will likely meander back to the tennis courts to watch matches.....apparently, the 13 matches he coached in the last 4 days was not enough.  :)

Pictures and/or a video of today's adventure to come!

Received a text from Noah last night with the caption, "After a big day, Ryan gets a half pint of ice cream!"  (first year, Ryan Hickman, had clinched the 5-4 victory over D2 Grand Valley State University with a 3 set singles victory)

As referenced in a February post, Jordan had her own cheering section in Hanover Park, IL (played Calvin and Wheaton).  Pictured below:  Jordan's mother and father from Pekin, IL, her brother and sister-in-law from Peoria, IL, Aunt from Woodridge, IL, Uncle from Western Springs, IL, Grandmother and Grandfather from Mattoon, IL and Aunt and Uncle from Mattoon, IL.  A Thank You from Kohawk Tennis for your support of Jordan, and our program!
