Friday's Recap

Another exciting day of Kohawk Tennis yesterday.

Coach Rodgers spent much of the morning stringing racquets in prep for the men's departure to Wabash College, and the Kerry Seward Invite.

Hannah J spent an hour babysitting Emmie (my almost 3 year old daugther), while my husband and I carried boxes into the new house. Hannah took her to the cafeteria, where Emmie enjoyed dipping french fries into ice cream. Hannah was amazed by the fact that Emmie listened to her and stated, "she's like an actual little person." A big thanks to Hannah for helping us out.

The men left mid-afternoon. Not realizing that the 2 vans departed at separate times, the women feared that Victor had been forgotten, or left behind.

Women's practice was quite productive (despite it being a Friday) and included conditioning, singles and doubles play, and a heated game of Davis Cup. At one point during doubles play, Nat put up a shorter than expected lob to Michelle who was eagerly waiting at the net.....Nat's reaction was an immediate "Oh, S*&%," which she later claimed, was simply her warning to Sara that she need to back up. Honestly, the same fear of Michelle at the net strikes me at times, but I did encourage Nat that a simple "Look Out" will do next time.

Props to Hannah H (B-Nan) and Millie for their continued progress on the doubles court. I was quite impressed with their play yesterday in practice.

I am confident that Millie, Tai and Nat enjoyed their ASA Formal held at the Marriott in Iowa City last night.

Best of luck to the men today!
