On to the NCAA's!

Today the Coe College Women's Tennis Team competed in the Iowa Conference NCAA Automatic Qualifying tournament. Play was held on the outdoor courts at Clark Racquet Center as Coe earned this privilege by winning the IIAC in the Fall.

In the semifinals of the six team event, Coe knocked off #4 seed Central College 5-0, sweeping the doubles and adding singles wins by Amy Sebastian and Diannah Watson from the #3 and #4 flights.

The afternoon finals was another chapter in the long running rivalry between Coe and Luther Tennis. Coe edged ahead during doubles play by virtue of wins at #1(Laura/Jordan) and #2(Tai/Diannah) doubles. Three singles victories from Amy(#3), Tai(#1) and Laura(#4) clinched the win and sent Coe onward to the NCAA's.

1st, 2nd and 3rd round play in the Team portion of the NCAA will be contested May 9-11th. Coe will learn their destination and opponent when the draw is released at 5pm on Monday May 5th.
